You’ll learn how to recognize stress, prevent dive accidents, and respond effectively to emergencies — whether they involve you or another diver.
With the guidance of a professional instructor, you’ll develop practical skills in both pool and open water settings.
From managing tired or panicked divers to surfacing an unresponsive diver and providing emergency care, this course covers a wide range of real-world scenarios.
This is one of the most rewarding and valuable courses you can take and is a required step toward earning the SSI Divemaster rating.

- Confined Water: Western Technical Commercial School, Toronto ON
- Open Water Dives: Gullivers Lake, Flamborough ON
- Final step before entering the Divemaster program
Prerequisites
Certification: A recognized Advanced Open Water certification from any agency
Minimum Age: 12 years old
