Diver Stress and Rescue
This essential program is designed to prepare you for the unexpected and make you a more confident, self-reliant diver. You’ll learn how to recognize stress, prevent dive accidents, and respond effectively to emergencies—whether they involve you or another diver.
With the guidance of a professional instructor, you’ll develop practical skills in both pool and open water settings. From managing tired or panicked divers to surfacing an unresponsive diver and providing emergency care, this course covers a wide range of real-world scenarios.
Before your in-water training, you'll complete the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue digital learning through the MySSI app or online portal. The e-learning is flexible and easy to follow, helping you build the foundation you need before stepping into the water.
This is one of the most rewarding and valuable specialties you can take. It’s also a required step toward earning the prestigious SSI Master Diver rating.
Whether you're diving with friends, joining a group charter, or simply want to be prepared for anything, the Stress & Rescue course will make you a stronger, more dependable diver.
