Open Water Checkout Dives
Have you already completed the Open Water Referral course? If so, you are only four dives away from being a certified scuba diver! Book your Open Water Checkout Dives with Aquarius Scuba to complete your certification and kickstart your diving adventures.

The open water checkout dives are completed in the open water - like a lake or ocean. We do our dives in a safe and fun group environment at Flamborough Lake, where we built our very own underwater 20×20 training platform.
During the open water checkout dives, your instructor will demonstrate, practice, and test you on the skills learned in the Open Water Referral course. Once you have successfully completed four dives, you will officially be an Open Water Diver. How exciting is that?!
Included in the Open Water Checkout Dives are the training sessions with your instructor, and gear rentals for the open water (except during open water checkout dives - mask/snorkel/fins are additional $50 rental fee)

Course Details:
Saturday - 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Sunday - 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Dive Site: Flamborough Lake (Bloom Resorts - 792 Safari Rd, Millgrove ON, L0R 1V0)
Includes:
- Instructor training
- Virtual divers log and training record for open water checkout dives
- Equipment rentals (2 tanks, regulator, BCD, weights - except mask/fins/snorkel for open water checkout dives)
- $50 Voucher towards purchase of a select new Dive Computer, BCD, Regulator, or Mask/Fins/Snorkel/Boots Package
- $50 Voucher towards purchase of a Continuing Education Course
- FREE access to pool practice at the Etobicoke Olympium Pool every Monday from 9-11 pm. Gear rental is extra.
NOTE: There is a $50 fee for less than 1 weeks’ notice of rescheduling or cancelling your course.
Additional Information
- Open Water Checkout Dives run from the beginning of June - end of September, annually
- Open Water Checkout Dives are also available on our international trip
- You must complete your Open Water Checkout Dives within 1 year of starting the E-Learning
- Gear rentals can be picked up on the Thursday or Friday before your chosen weekend and returned Monday or Tuesday afterwards
- You will need to arrange your own transportation
- There is a $12 admission fee to be paid per person (cash & card) in the resort office upon arrival on Saturday
- Tanks will need to be filled at Aquarius Scuba on Saturday afternoon before 5 pm
