Can't make one of our regularly scheduled Open Water Checkout Dive weekends? Our Private Open Water Checkout Dives give you the flexibility to complete your four certification dives with personalized instruction and dates that work for you. Private checkout dives are available seven days a week, subject to instructor and dive-site availability.

How It Works

Purchase your Private Open Water Checkout Dives online and our team will contact you to arrange your dates. These dives can be scheduled on weekdays or weekends depending on instructor availability, weather, dive-site conditions, and the student's schedule.

Prerequisites

You must have successfully completed the Open Water Referral portion of your Open Water Diver course before completing your checkout dives. Students transferring from another dive centre or training agency may be required to provide their completed referral paperwork and training records before scheduling.

Personal Equipment

• Students are responsible for their own mask, fins and snorkel.
• Rental packages may be available through Aquarius Scuba for an additional charge.

Scheduling

Private checkout dives do not have predetermined course dates.

Scheduling is based on:

• Student availability
• Instructor availability
• Dive-site availability
• Weather and water conditions

Private scheduling is available any day of the week, but specific dates are not guaranteed until confirmed by Aquarius Scuba.

Dive Location

Checkout dives are normally conducted at one of Aquarius Scuba's approved local open-water training sites. The exact location will be confirmed when your dives are scheduled.

• Open Water checkout dives are seasonal in Ontario and are subject to suitable weather and diving conditions.
• Transportation to and from the dive site is not included.
• Dive-site admission fees, where applicable, are paid separately.
