Belize Whale Shark Diving

May 30 to June 6, 2010

Tell a Friend

$2399 for divers

$1899 for non-divers (snorkelers welcome!)

Placencia, Belize

Come experience the gentle giants of the ocean!

Belize is the only place in the world where whale shark sightings can be predicted each year. Whale sharks, the largest fish in the ocean, can reach up to lengths of 40 feet and live for almost 100 years. As filter feeders, whale sharks arrive around the full moons in the months of March to June to feed off the eggs of spawning fish. Both divers and snorkelers can enjoy a whale shark experience, as whale sharks are often found close to the surface.

Placencia, Belize is located in the south of this eco-friendly country, on a 10-mile long peninsula, which provides the perfect location to access the second largest reef system in the world. Along with the fantastic diving, this part of the country is home to numerous nature and animal reserves, as well as Maya ruins, so there is plenty to see when you are not under the water!

What is included in the package:

  • Roundtrip flight Toronto-Placencia
  • Land transfers within Belize
  • All taxes
  • Accommodation for 7 nights/8 days at Dianni’s Guest House in Placencia
